Alex Fitzpatrick has headed up Travelport’s payment solutions team since November 2015. Her team provides technical solutions for both agents and airlines, which cover fraud screening, merchant card payment services, AFMs (alternative forms of payment) as well as with industry/government regulations and directives such as PSD2, GDPR and PCI DSS compliance. Alex also acts as an advisor to several payment industry leading events and represents Travelport at various industry and card payment related forums and working groups. Prior to her current role, Alex was General Manager, Pacific from July 2012, overseeing Travelport’s commercial operations across the Pacific region. Her experience also includes two previous roles with Galileo, based in the UK, starting off in product management in the early days, leading up to the launch of Galileo, where she was responsible for BSP/ARC ticketing and certification then later as Director of Distributor Sales for EMEA. Alex is a seasoned travel industry veteran with over 25 years of experience encompassing technology, airline, hotel and corporate roles. Prior to rejoining Travelport in 2012 Alex was based in London as a Director for Travel Management Solutions (TMS). She also spent time working for American Airlines then Sabre, as well as IATA in Geneva. Alex has also owned and operated two award-winning hotels, one of which was under the Best Western brand.
